Turkiye is now the second-largest foreign exhibitor at the show, after India

Dubai, UAE: Paperworld Middle East and Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East, the Middle East and Africa’s dedicated dual trade fair for paper, stationery, office supplies, and gifts, accents, and lifestyle products, will feature strong Turkish representation this year with the attendance of a host of associations and exhibitors from the country already confirmed.

The latest edition of the show, which returns to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on November 15-17, 2022, will feature more than 275 exhibitors from 40 countries, with each highlighting new products and businesses, provided the invaluable opportunity to establish and strengthen relationships.

Turkiye will be represented at Paperworld Middle East by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, TUKID, and Promosiad, while GEEM – an association of houseware and lifestyle products – will be among the Turkish representatives at Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East. With this, Turkiye will be the second-largest foreign exhibitor at the show, after India.

Turkiye pavilion supported by ICOC has a prominent space at the expo, from where it will showcase its cutting-edge products to visitors. Veniem Tasarm Tantm Dş Tic A is one of the exhibitors at the ICOC stand and is bringing its fabrics and textile products, as well as several eco-friendly products and solutions.

"Our objectives and expectations for the show this year is to increase the number of new customers we have in our sales network,” said Meral Bahtiyar Aydner, founder of Veniem Tasarm Tantm Dş Tic. A.

“Considering corporate gifting is a common practice in the Middle East, we aim to serve this market by providing guests with high-quality products. Our tailored solutions – such as that will fortify our position at the forefront of the market.”

According to Ceyhun Yavas, vice-president of Promosiad Turkiye,

Turkish businesses have seen a significant rise in export interest in 2022 because of the country’s manufacturing capabilities and strategic geographic location between Europe and Asia.

“It has become crucial to make efforts to promote Made in Turkiye items at prestigious venues,” said Yavas. “For this reason, Paperworld Middle East represents a great opportunity for growth potential. Promasiad encourages interactive participation from those who wish to learn more about the Turkish promotion and printing industries.”

Interestingly, TUKID, another prominent Turkish presence at the show, is the country’s stationery sector’s only non-profit organisation and an important actor in the stationery products category. During the show, TUKID will gather Turkish producers, exporters, and importers to showcase custom-designed products.

Gülin Ciyavul, from the project development team at Karga Promosyon, also based at the ICOC stand, said his company is excited about the chance to grow business in the gifting and lifestyle sector. “We supply many Middle Eastern travel agencies active in Turkiye,” he said. “Our company products are of the desired quality, and we've produced and served for a long time without changing the standard. We believe this experience will be crucial for the Middle Eastern market.

“Our company's capacity to systematically consider and address every product that a customer may require as a single provider is another appealing feature. For instance, specially produced baby underwear and a baby bottle belonging to a global brand can be purchased from our company at the same time.”
