Global players in office imaging industry offered new business platform in Dubai to grow Middle East presence

Dedicated Remanexpo Pavilion aims for big show at Paperworld Middle East 2020

Dubai, UAE: Global players in the office imaging industry will have a new platform to increase their regional market share, when a dedicated area for OEM and aftermarket printer supplies, computer hardware and software returns to Paperworld Middle East 2020 in Dubai.

The Remanexpo Pavilion will present thousands of Middle East and African trade buyers with the entire range of remanufactured printer consumables, IT accessories and other sustainable products, as businesses and end-users continue to turn toward solutions that save money while also reducing carbon footprint.

It’s the only platform of its kind in the Middle East, and is the result of a partnership between The Recycler Magazine and Messe Frankfurt Middle East, organiser of Paperworld Middle East, the region’s largest trade fair for stationery, paper, gifts, school and office supplies.

The collaboration will see The Recycler – a toner and inkjet industry trade publication – bring together market players from across the office imaging spectrum to showcase their latest solutions at the annual three day event, which takes place from 9-11 March 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“We’re excited to be involved with this project,” said Stefanie Unland, Editor and Publisher of The Recycler.  “The office imaging sector is growing in the region and Dubai is the gateway to the Middle East and African markets. The Emirate’s strategic location is an ideal Launchpad for manufacturers to target regional markets as they emerge.”

Ms. Unland said in the last two years there has been an emergence of strong brands such as Kodak and IBM in the Middle East, while Australian company Calidad – a long-time Paperworld Middle East exhibitor – is a market leader in the region.

“Remanufacturing for reuse is also growing with local UAE based companies expanding into the East African markets,” she added.

“The Middle East and African markets rank two and three in global terms and continues to outpace the global average, providing real opportunities for growth in a market that is maturing in North America and Europe. The Remanexpo Pavilion at Paperworld Middle East 2020 is the ideal place to meet, connect and do business.”

Celebrating its 10th anniversary edition in 2020, Paperworld Middle East will open doors in March with the central theme ‘More than Paper’ evident throughout the exhibition floor.

Show Director Alexandria Robinson expects exhibitors from 40 countries and visitors from 100 countries, with the Remanexpo Pavilion yet another show highlight offering trade buyers, corporations, schools, distributors, exporters, importers, and retailers even more options.

“The Remanexpo Pavilion is the latest value-added feature at Paperworld Middle East underlining the show’s ‘More than Paper’ theme that we introduced in 2018,” said Ms. Robinson.

“We estimate more than four million laser and inkjet printers and 19 million toner and ink cartridges are shipped in the Middle East every year.  Dubai and the UAE are at the heart of this market as most shipments to the MEA region are re-exported through UAE ports.”

Returning features at Paperworld Middle East 2020 include Playworld Village stacked with children’s toys and games; the Wrap Star gift wrapping competition; the Green Room for sustainable stationery and office supplies; and a three-day seminar programme ensuring industry professionals are kept up-to-date with the latest Middle East trends.

The annual three-day event will also be co-located with the Messe Frankfurt Middle East-organised Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East, a launch event showcasing mid to high-end consumer goods, specifically oriented toward the giving and dining segments.

Here, exhibitors will present the entire gamut of the gifting and dining world, from trendy, designer gifts and luxury leather goods, to table decorations, crystal ware, glass, artworks, photo frames and candles, designer plastic and storage items.
