Free education in UAE: Registration begins for students in Abu Dhabi

Registration open for 17 Charter Schools in Abu Dhabi

Registration has begun for new students wishing to enroll in seventeen government funded private schools and kindergartens in Abu Dhabi for the next academic year (2021-2022), authorities announced.

Thirteen of these American Curriculum schools are in Abu Dhabi, while four are in Al Ain. These schools provide education to students for free.

According to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek), students must meet at least five conditions for admission to these Charter Schools. They include: residing in the vicinity of the school; being above the minimum age stipulated for admission to school; registration on specified dates, submission of registration documents on time, and fulfilling any other requirements as stipulated by Adek.

Adek said these schools, managed by three educational companies, are a partnership between the public and private sector and serves students in the kindergarten and first cycle stage. The companies were selected through a bidding process and based on their ability to follow best practices.
